A walk in the first snow on Monte Brè

As stated in the previous post Monte Brè received its first snowfall last Friday. I simply could not stay indoors when I saw from my window the snow covered summit. So right after the lunch I headed up the mountain for a short walk.

Hiking Monte Boglia in winter

Here are some photographs from one of our winter hikes. The route was pretty simple: Village of Brè (790m) – Monte Boglia (1516m) – Alpe Bolla (1129m) – Village of Brè. It was a very pleasant hike although the trail from Alpe Bolla to Brè was demanding: quite steep and covered with about 30 cm of fallen leaves.

It snowed again over Lugano. Lets hope the snow stays longer this time.

The first snow of the season in Lugano

Last night it’s been snowing for the first time this winter here in Lugano! So today right after the breakfast I went for a walk to Gandria and took some photos. Unfortunately we have not received as much snow as expected, but enough to put the smiles on faces. I am looking forward to more snow this winter.
